I just stumbled over this WordPress Plugin – WPtouch from Brave New Code. It’s great! It optimises your WP for viewing on iPhone/Android/Pre devices. Here’s a wee blurb from their site.
WPtouch automatically transforms your WordPress blog into a web-application experience when viewed from an iPhone, iPod touch or Android touch mobile device. It comes complete with all the standard WordPress blog features: search, login, categories, tags, archives, photos & more. WPtouch also offers many customization features through a beautifully designed WordPress admin panel.
Here a few screen shots of start|select|pause from the iPhone. The first one is the home page, the second is a typical blog post.

Here it is. My blog. Having been in my post at LTScotland for a mighty 7 days now, I have come to realise that I need some way of gathering my thoughts that doesn’t involve our spare room turning into a huge wasteland of random post-its, piles of A4 paper, assorted folders, freebie 1Gb memory sticks and coffee cups. OK, I can’ t do much about the coffee cups – virtual coffee just isn’t the same.
I will be using this blog to reflect on my day to day experiences as a Development Offiver for Games Based Learning /Games Design in Education. It’s been a real ‘get stuck in’ start to it all. In the first 7 days I have been …
- out looking at ManagHigh with my colleague Brian McLaren and 10 Glasgow Maths teachers
- trying to set up a GLOW pilot with SUMS online for a few East Dunbartonshire primary schools
- setting up some PSPs in advance of them going out to schools
- planning resources for Games Design
- looking for PSP games that lend themselves to Games Based Learning
- at a consolarium team meeting with Derek, Ollie, Brian and Barrie
- out to Heriot Watt to look at their Neverwitner Nights project
- at St Augustines High School to see the afore mentioned Neverwinter Nights implementation
I am delighted to be working at the Consolarium in the area of Games Based Learning. The excitement and enthusiasm for GBL from my colleagues and the teachers I have met has been amazing. I’m certainly looking forward to the next year and all the opportunities it may bring.
I hope you find my future posts useful. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas about Computer Games and their place in education, general techie geeky stuff and anything else that springs to mind.
So, with this short, inaugral post done, I’ll be off to continue my ‘new adventures in gaming’ and clean the coffee cups …..
