Brian Clark

I am Principal Teacher of Computing at Portobello High School in Edinburgh, but currently seconded to Learning and Teaching Scotland as a Development Officer for Games Based Learning.

I have a great love of technology and a huge interest on the impact is has on education.  Over the past 10 years, I have strived to implement contemporary technologies in my everyday classroom practice.  There is no doubt in my mind that today’s learners are all motivated by the gadgets and games they use outwith their school life, so it obvious that we should be using this to enhance their learning.

When I am not geeking out, I love to go adventuring with my wife – whether that be 2 weeks in an exotic location or a visit to a new restaurant its always fun!   I play bass guitar and few other instruments, enjoy a good movie or book, and just love finding those hidden gems, those undiscovered (well, undiscovered to me) bands or artists that make you feel great.
